What did one thermometer say to the other thermometer?
You make my temperature rise!

Why did the woman who listens to 2CC in Canberra go outside with her purse open?
Because she expected some change in the weather!

What happens when it rains cats and dogs?
You have to be careful not to step in a poodle!!

I think the best way to reply to that is to quote John Stanley.
“Yep, alright, good on ya.”
Very funny, those are good jokes, thanks troydanger.

The thunderstorm here in Canberra is causing really annoying crackles on the amplitude modulated 2CC signal….. the ONLY disadvantage of AM !

Plus … they ‘lost’ the Sydney program for 10 minutes between 4.45 and 4.55 pm, during which music was played from the 2CC studios .

If it was the alphabet song then it was a power failure. They went off air from 5:30-5:50 and are currently emitting strange beeping noises over programming.
2CA also went out, this will be the subject of a post shortly.

The storm must be affecting the link to Sydney because we are now listening to “Down Memory Lane” music from the 2CC Studios (since 5.33pm ) . Oh well , it’s better than listening to “The Trading Post” from Sydney.
Dammit ….. they just went to back to the Sydney Trading Post at 5.49 pm ! (that’s a loss of 16 minutes of scheduled program ).

Ha,ha ….. they just went back to “Down Memory Lane” at 5.57pm …… (then cut to the News at 6pm ) ….. Hmmmm … this reminds me of the days when we had to log every programme break on ABC Radio !

We now seem to have settled into “Saturday Night Live” with Mike Williams without any problems . Sounds interesting so far, with some audio recordings of Menzies from 1966.
