It’s Official, I’m Finding A New Job

Well, after recieving a response of “We’ll employ Samuel as and when needed” and that time being somewhere at the other end of next month, and probably only for a few days, I am seeking a new job. On top of the strange mistreatment, I was also sent a job advert by my current employer for a job elsewhere…needless to say, I get the hint, and I’m moving on. Unfortunately for them the people who are now left to run the network are seriously understaffed and probably don’t know half of what I know about it, but I’ve done my level best to impart my knowledge on the incumbant employees, if they don’t remember it is not my problem.
After spotting a few good jobs which I feel like applying for and tracking down some former colleagues for advice, I am quietly confident that I have everything in order.
There isn’t much more I can say without breaking confidentiality agreements (something I have no intention of doing) so I will leave it at that.
For the record, I am intending on continuing study in the middle of next year, although that is variable depending on my employment situation.

Have you thought about the possibitly that you getting fired and this strange shower incident you experienced recently are connected?

You think my bosses were climbing over my roof do you? Interesting theory…and for the record, I haven’t really been fired, they may still ring for me to come in and work for a few hours, but in reality it is a form of retrenchment.

With the present unfair dismissal laws, the employers would find it difficult to get rid of an employee. I think they were just giving you some nudges, hoping you’d jump on your own.
Concerned, you may be onto something there about the shower incident. Samuel, did you have Nettie in the shower cubicle with you at the time that there were noises on the roof?
I think Samuel is destined for bigger and brighter things. I heard Michael Jackson (of Ben fame) is exploring the possbility of investing in AM talkback radio.

Samuel, I go along with the pompous loony crowd on this issue. Why on earth do you idolise people who don’t have the decency to be upfront with you?
To be fair, perhaps the boss really doesn’t have work for you, has you on the top of his list and was trying to recommend the job elsewhere. But being obscure about it then sending you an ad for another job is a really thoughtless way to go about it.
Enjoying talkback is no crime. I think it’s weird but we’ve all got our weird side. You’re a bit arrogant for an apprentice, but many students go through the phase of “educating” everyone around them and you’ll probably grow out of it.
Sammy, you need to broaden your horizons a bit. Why don’t you join a role-playing or drama group? You get to interact with people you can see and touch and nobody’s getting rich off everybody else’s contributions.

Rocket, I think their is some confusion here. I am not & never have been employed by 2CC, I did a one week work experience placement there. I certainly can’t recall idolising the employer mentioned in this article. As for the TSSH audience who think I may have been fired due to writing about that employer, I think the only time I’ve written about them was when I was promoting one of their “events”, and that was quite a while back.
