On with the (long) John Kerr show!

April 1st, 2006 at 11:26pm

Daylight Saving does some funny things at times, including giving John Kerr an extra hour for his show. That means that New Day Australia will go for seven glorious hours from Midnight-3am Eastern Daylight Saving Time and from 2am to 6am Eastern Standard Time.

So…on with the (long) John Kerr show!

I hope John brings lots of coffee with him. I love the header. Happy Birthday Samuel’s Blog!

  • 2. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:12 am

    Can I stream John Kerr?

  • 3. Samuel  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:19 am

Certainly, go to and click the “listen live” link.

  • 4. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:26 am

I listening to John and the convicted drug dealer now. John sounds a bit uncomfortable.

  • 5. Samuel  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:29 am

It was quite an uncomfortable conversation!

Coming up after the next ad break, Dale & Simon enter the studio for an hour of “Flicks ‘n’ Things”…stay tuned for the intro!

  • 6. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:31 am

Ok. Should I give John a ring after Flicks?

  • 7. Samuel  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:33 am

Sounds like a good idea Chuck…I’ll be listening!
13 13 32 is the number to ring.

  • 8. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 12:39 am

You never know. I may even get through!

  • 9. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 1:10 am

I was hoping I would get into an in depth conversation with John about how Paris Hilton cops it in that movie except I got cut off!

Anyway I said a big hello to Samuel!

  • 10. Samuel  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 1:13 am

It’s a fast moving segment…and hello to you too!

  • 11. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 1:51 am

I think I know who the secret Samuel’s Persiflage guest is. Don’t worry my lips are sealed. Let’s hope he has 57 cups of coffee!

  • 12. Samuel  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 1:53 am

It was a pretty poor secret anyway…who else has been mentioned every single episode? For those of you who still haven’t guessed…listen to each episode of Samuel’s Persiflage!

  • 13. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 2:00 am

I hope he realises how many Samuel’s Persiflage listeners are eagerly anticipating the next episode.

I should have recorded my conversation with John. It could have made a great segway into the interview on Persiflage.

The receptionist is a lovely girl. Very warm and extremely professional.

When you get your own show Samuel, you should employ a lass with a similar constitution.

Well it looks like Samuel and Chuck had quite the night. How do you guys do it?

Lots of coffee I would say. I cant drink coffee as it reacts to my Lithium. Otherwise I would have surely been on here with you guys.

Its not every night that you get seven hours of John Kerr, personally I think I would ave gt a bit too excited and the doctor says not to get too excited.

The darkness comes when I do.

Is there any way that I can dowload the show in podcast form and hear Chuck’s call to John?

  • 15. Samuel  |  April 2nd, 2006 at 4:54 pm

It was quite a good show, although I did doze off a couple times myself, and that was after having a cup of coffee.

It got cold here, I turned the computer off when it was about 4 degrees outside and stayed in bed, I ended up tucking my pyjama pants into my socks which worked quite well. I have added a couple extra blankets for tonight.

Aunty_Jack, unfortunately 2UE haven’t take the leap into podcasting yet, although if you’re really keen, Rehame can get you a copy for a fee. From memory Chuck was on just after the 1am news.

Sounds like you need to invest in a pair of (long) Johns, sam.
