Persiflage Correction Chief Turnip’s Incoherent Babbling

Stairs

April 19th, 2006 at 01:22am

Yesterday morning I had a small accident on the stairs. Nothing was broken, but I am still a bit sore. I have also been advised to take it easy for a couple days.

Are you ok? Were you following your General Safety Policy? If not should it be revised?

    Get well soon Samuel.

Glad to hear you haven’t broken anything .. I was looking forward to another cable laying update.

I hear on the grapevine that there is going to be a birthday celebration. In all the excitement I have accidently stapled a 2CC poster to my forehead.

I’ve seen the shopping list and I’m positively aroused … sounds like you’ve done yourself a greater degree of “naughtyness” than Samuel’s stair sojourn … perhaps you should garnish your head with a heavy object and put yourself to bed!

Flippant injuries aside, I think Samuel has been quite naughty with his Year in Review posts. I feel there was one glaring omission. This was my Persiflage remix titled ‘How Odd’. Any chance of Samuel providing a link to it to satisfy my ego?

As for garnishing heads, JohnR2_B2 has knocked any reference to big rocks on the head with his post about Mrs G-S and her assualt by her next door neighbour.

I am going to remix another song for the party. It will be called SGS vs Popcorn. I will sample the electronic Popcorn song from the 70’s and juxtapose it with the Persiflage intro. I will also sample Samuel’s interview with the Governor General. Crazy frog look out.

Hope you’re feeling better soon, Samuel.

    Feeling any better Samuel?

Thanks everyone, I’m feeling better, my leg is just a tad sore though. Not as bad as the time I fell down a whole flight of stairs in high school.

I just typed ‘orange ACTION bus’ into google. The fifth result down made my eyebrows raise.

Google does seem to like me these days for some reason.

If you type that into Google Image Search this website is the first result

  • 13. Chuck A. Spear  |  April 20th, 2006 at 12:13 am

Yes! However, do you have a picture of one from a bit closer?

Not personally, but http://www.busaustralia.com/gallery/search.php?searchstring=action and http://mathew8993.fotopic.net/ seem to have plenty.

Thanks Samuel. The good thing about legs is that if you hurt one then you always have another.

Heetseeker, since you are a huge fan of B&G pinapple pieces I think you should copy and paste this into google-

‘black and gold pineapple pieces label’

Also, I am checking on http://www.ebay.com.au for any B&G products that have the old label. I think they will soon be worth more than cans of ‘Bully Beef’ from WW1.

Did you really fall down stairs Sam, or are those replies automated responses and you are in lockdown?

Yes Chuck … scouring eBay as we speak – I am certain those old labels and a “Black and Gold” mine to collectors of classic labels!
