Jane Turner’s final day
September 18th, 2009 at 06:01am
Whilst Jane presented her final news bulletin for 2CC and 2CA a few days ago, she is still working there. Today is Jane’s final day with Capital Radio. Susie Thompson takes her place on Monday.
Jane is heading back to Tasmania, and I, for one, wish her all the best. Her dulcet tones will be missed in Canberra.

I happened to catch Jane’s last bulletin the other day – was a bit sad.
By the way, not sure if you are aware you’ve made p18 of today’s Canberra Times (regarding the doco).

I didn’t bother to ask which paper was taking photos, so no, I wasn’t aware of it. Thanks for letting me know. By “today” do you mean Friday or Saturday?
I should have written something sooner about the doco’s media launch on Tuesday…but I can’t decide how to approach it as I can’t really do a review as such.

No pic, unfortunately… Just a name….
It is on the back page of the first section of Saturday’s Times

In my case, no picture may be a good thing. Pity that the group photo didn’t make it considering how much time was spent posing.
I’ll check it out later today.
On the subject of CT pictures…I wasted an afternoon at the National Library earlier this year trying to work out which edition of the paper used a photo from this blog last year. I didn’t find it (although my eyes glazed over after a while), and I don’t have any problem them using photos from here, I was just interested to see the context as I was told that it was in a story about climate change, which would be a bit ironic.
