Poker Machines and Harry’s Cafe
October 30th, 2007 at 11:00am
Good morning Lawsie,
This idea about the poker machines in schools has some merit, rig the machines to eat the kids' money and give it back to them later on…if that doesn't stop the kids from playing with the machines later in life, at least they won't expect to have any money at the end of the night.
By the way I saw Harry's Cafe De Wheels on Saturday whilst on tourist duties in Sydney, I wasn't hungry enough to stop there for something to eat, but I'm glad it's staying, I would hate to think that I was the last person to ever take a photo of it, or that I missed out on its famous cuisine.
Have a great day Lawsie (and I hope you liked the chocolates).
Regards,
Samuel Gordon-Stewart

Depends which part of the email you’re referring to.
If you’re talking about the poker machine idea…then for the most part, yes, although I do think there is some merit to the idea.
The bit about Harry’s cafe was entirely light hearted but truthful, and I will be stopping there for a bite to eat next time I’m in Sydney.

I’d like to see poker machines in public hospitals and instead of cash prizes you could win free organ transplants or drugs, well it would keep the junkies off the street, (Oops! I meant needle dependent person)
Can’t get enough of gambling, give us more please government.
Gambling is the great Australian past time, you are un-Australian if you don’t gamble.
I’ll bet on it.
