Good news from a walk

January 10th, 2006 at 11:10pm

I was taking Nattie for a walk this morning as I usually do, we were walking around Argyle Square, which is a block of private townhouses on Ainslie Avenue, near Civic. As we were walking along Allambee Street, there was a government pather on the other side of the road, having his morning tea break. He was sitting under a tree, with his car radio on, and from a distance I thought I could recognise a voice, as I got closer I heard someone talking about sharks, and then hear Tim Webster, who was interviewing a shark expert.

I was tempted to say hello to the pather, but Nattie just wanted to keep walking, so we kept right on walking.

I guess it’s one of those path cleaners…… speaking of Tim Webster (on 2UE ) , I was listening to him this morning and I heard a ‘promo’ for the 2CC Drive Show (with Mike Welch ) where my voice was heard mentioning the William Sisters. …. lol ! ….. Thanks 2CC ! I got a good laugh out of that !

Probably me trying to spell things when I’m half asleep. All instances of “pather” should be “paver”.

For proof that everything makes sense when you’re half asleep see https://samuelgordonstewart.com/2005/11/when-youre-half-asleep

I’ll keep an ear out for Welshy’s promo, I heard Andrew Pye weigh in on the issue of good looking tennis players yesterday afternoon.

“Paver” ….ok, I thought it was a typo …… Regarding the tennis players , I managed to get through to Tim Webster about 11.50 am and tell him that I thought Sarina Williams looked quite sexy in that picture on the front page of today’s Daily Telegraph …… Tim found it hard to believe that Mike Welch would prefer Emily whats-her-name to either of the Williams Sisters . LOL !

I must have missed that…Welshy probably heard it though.

He most certainly did ! ….. At the beginning of The Drive Show yesterday, Mike Welsh replayed a portion of my conversation with Tim Webster regarding Serena Williams and her picture in the Daily Telegraph.
A large portion of The Drive Show was then taken up talking about the size of Serena’s butt .
At least one caller agreed with me ….. preferring Serena over Emily whats-her-name .
And then to top things off … I spoke to Glen Wheeler last night on the same topic …..he seemed to think that Serena’s butt was “too big” (just as Mike Welsh did ) , but he didn’t agree with Mike about Emily whats-her name .
All in all, a really interesting day ! lol !

Tim Webster is still going on about Serena’s rear end this morning! You’ve started something John, and I’m not sure if I should thank you or run away screaming…
