Wrong Wrong Wrong Stanhope attacks Smyth in question time, but where are the reporters?

Can anybody identify the music?

I’m wondering if anybody can identify the music linked below. It is the music currently used at the end of WIN Television’s News, and in the promos for 2UE’s Mike and Fitz Breakfast Show.

Click here to listen to the music.

Anybody know the identity of this bit of music?

Samuel

You have your very own Secret Sound, Sam. Just like Mix!

I think it could be Milkshake by the Village People

It sounds very much like the theme from “The Man From Snowy River” interdisposed with tunes from “Mad Max” and “My Secret Valley”.
If I had to guess, I’d say that it is something that WIN had put together for the news.
Very catchy though. Even a little bit to anthemic for current affairs?

“too anthemic” is what I meant

I’d almost guarantee that it was an original composition. I would think that every news show has it’s own song as they wouldn’t want to have to pay royalties everytime they used it.

I remember there being a survey once on which News had the best theme song.

i think Channel 10 won at the time.

I personally like the Channel 9 one because it left such happy memories with me. But it’s never been the same since Hendo left..

Maybe its something by Huey Lewis and the News?

Either way, I have put it on my ipod eight times.

I thought it was a Win creation too until 2UE used it. That’s why I’m assuming it is not an in-house production.

    Hi Samuel,

It’s possible that it may be a track from a production music album (library music) as is so often the case.

Probably is Frankster, it certainly sounds like it, the question does still remain though.
