Apple Launch Amusing Mac Vs PC Advertising Campaign

May 3rd, 2006 at 11:51am

The people at Apple Computer have launched a new advertising campaign which compares Mac and PC (presumably running Windows by the looks of the ads) in a lighthearted manner.

It appears to be a part of their “Get A Mac” campaign, and the ads are on their website (linked above). The ads don’t really say much, but they do provide a bit of light hearted entertainment. Whether or not they will be effective is another thing, but the timing appears to be right with Windows Vista not due until November, and probably facing yet another delay, this time until at least April 2007.

It is an interesting time ahead in the land of computers.

Personally, I swore off McDonalds after seeing that comedic documentary “Supersize me”.

Also that Ronald McDonald guy creeps me out … God knows what he gets up to on his farm …

I’ve been of McDonalds for much longer than that…but thankfully I was referring to the Apple Macintosh operating system in the article above.

Yes, I think apples are a very good source of nutrition.

I quite like the ads. One suspects that they take their humour from Brent at Wernham Hogg. Nothing wrong with that because everyone else does.

I been pondering heatseekers predicament and the death threats he has been sending himself. I can give you some advice.

Next time you make yourself a cup of tea and if it tastes like almonds then spit it out and check yourself into the emergency ward. You may have poisoned yourself.

I am writing this from a secret location because I am now in witness protection. I hope Aunty Jack does not read this.

This blog has left a trail of casualties … thank goodness there’s some sound nutrition tips to be had.

This whole stalking myself thing is really becoming quite frustrating … the other day I mailed myself a death threat (from a mail box so I could remain anonymous), but when I got it I knew exactly what it was.

I resolved not to open it and had it returned to sender.

So far it has come back to me 17 times.

Yours sounds like a worrying predicament Chuck … I have been so concerned I’ve been scanning the papers over recent days for reports of corpses found with their bloody arms ripped off.

I have followed Fred Astaire’s example and insured my arms for a large amount of money. Although the late great Fred Astaire insured his legs, I am sure he received his fair share of death threats while blogging in his time.

Have you done an identi-kit photo of yourself heatseeker? Just so you know who you are dealing with.

Yes, I described my stalker to the police artist and they detained me on the spot …. now I’m suing them for wrongful arrest.

I feel a John B1=BO comment coming on.

Anyone received any interesting ‘death threats’ lately ? ( not from yourself ) .

I received one from Hamas. Does that count?
