Aircheck Sunday: Samuel and Jason Morrison discuss the news of the week on 2QN. Friday May 22, 2009
August 23rd, 2009 at 12:35pm
You may recall that, three months ago, I was quite excited that 2GB’s Jason Morrison had agreed to come on to the 2QN breakfast show, on which I was filling in for Paul Dix, to have a chat about some of the stories which had made the news that week.
On the Friday morning, just after the 8:30am news, Jason and I discussed Annice Smoel’s release from a Thai jail which was undoubtedly the top story of the week, along with petrol prices and the discounting stunts taking place in Sydney, plus an amusing case of a large bank error and record bank fees.
I was quite pleased with how it turned out, as was the senior announcer at 2QN, and now that it is more than three months old, here it is for your listening pleasure.

In case you are wondering, it was not a coincidence that Jason’s theme song from 2GB played straight after the interview. It’s a great song, I’d been wanting to play it all week, and the segment gave me the perfect opportunity to play it, even if I didn’t mention that as a reason at the time.
So, once again I would like to thank Jason for giving up fifteen minutes of his time on that morning. I understand that it was a particularly busy week for him, so his contribution is greatly appreciated.
