Aircheck Sunday: 2QN Breakfast May 20 2009

May 24th, 2009 at 11:21am

By request, I’m breaking with my usual “three month” policy for Aircheck Sunday whereby posted airchecks are at least three months old, and posting an aircheck of 2QN Breakfast from Wednesday. Enjoy!

    Hi Samuel

I really enjoyed listening to this – thankyou so much for posting it and congratulations – sounded relaxed and very professional.

Just a question… do they have limits on the number of ads that can be played in a half hour block as they do on telly? If so, do the interview-ads (e.g. with the caravan guy or the car dealer) count towards this?

When I lived in Sydney, they used to run extended advertorials on 2UE for vitamin and fruit juice companies and it used to drive me insane! Was just wondering if there is a limit to it?

    Anyway, congrats, great work!!

    Thanks for the feedback Davky.

To be honest with you, I assume that there are limits, but I don’t know what they are. The interview-ads are in the ad log with time limits on them, but I don’t think anyone works to the limits…they go a bit under or over.

I don’t remember the vitamin or fruit juice ads…I remember the magnetic bed ads. The last thing I wanted to hear about at 2am was how inferior some woman thought my bed was because it didn’t have magnets!

To be honest Samuel, if it only took magnets for women to think my bed was superior I’d get out the credit card right away…
