  Eureka!!!

  I have to admit that reading this excellent blog and its comments I have felt that my co-correspondents are a little bit bonkers. What with all the talk of secret messages and numbers which I have so far failed to see.

  But I am a convert now. With the celebration of your 19th birthday I see now that once your chronological age is converted into dog years what I have been missing all along.

  At 11.01 pm tonight you will become 133. Now to all those familiar with hacking you will know there is a term used (sometimes scornfully but originally with great reverence amongst teenage hackers) for elite hackers. That term ‘elite’ shortened to ‘leet’ and then to the alphanumeric 133t refers to the ultimate elite hacker.

  Do you see the kinship between the term ‘133t’ and your age in dog years Samuel?

  I still need to ascertain the meaning of the letter ‘t’ but I know I am on to something.

  Can anyone help me take this further? Will you give me a clue Samuel?

  Somehow I suspect the blowing-up of the Canberra Hospital was linked to the birth of Samuel. A new, powerful force was born to the world, and so God willed his followers on earth to eventually destroy the institution that was witness to the birth of this rival Messiah.

  HMV, you’re onto something with the “133t” clue.

  Probably the “t” is not meant to be included, and the word “133” should literally be interpreted as “LEE”.

  Now, frankly Cunninglinguist, I’m a bit upset that you didn’t pick up on this earlier. As everyone knows, in the early nineteenth century Samuel Lee was one of the forefathers of modern linguistics. His work in the Arabic, Hebrew and Maori languages to name a few, have set standards in the academic world.

  Obviously the hidden message is telling us to look at SGS’s teachings in a language other than English.

  From now on I will only read this blog backwards, in Yiddish.

  I’ll let you know what I find.

  Forgive me, Brother, I hang my head in shame. I did see the “Lee” but I misinterpreted it as indicating that Samuel will be having an Asian dish for his birthday meal – perhaps sweet’n’sour spatchcocks.

  Samuel probably is not aware of the caterwauling that is Lee Harding’s “music”.
