ANZ Bot strategy update: Using stats to find a steady profit on Australia and New Zealand horses

December 16th, 2024 at 06:01pm

Samuel provides an update and revision on an ANZ Bot strategy to use stats to find winners and turn a profit on Australia and New Zealand horse racing, getting the ANZ Bot to find runners which have a good performance rating and a good jockey/trainer combo, but a poor Sky rating.

Samuel also explains why the revisions were made and a tip on filtering the Sky ratings in the ANZ Bot for better results.

Another fascinating insight into “BotWorld”;they are not a set and forget solution but a seemingly endless conundrum of “how can I improve this method”
Mu UK backing strategy illustrated this recently with 47 consecutive losers [mind you we are talking 5th favourites at the dogs] but such results lay bare the necessity for daily monitoring.
Re the Double Dutch bot which other of your adherents have tried I have given up. Trying every combo that my aging brain can conjure up has produced sparks of hope that have ultimately been extinguished by a losing run and untenable stakes. If any reader has conquered this bot long term please let we lesser mortals into the secret.
Finally a big thank you for the many insights throughout 2024 and Seasons Greetings to you and yours.

Well said Doug…I think we are in the same boat!

All the best to you and of course Samuel, our great guru.

    Cheers

    Hi Doug, Hi Tony.

Absolutely, it is a bit of a never-ending process of trying to improve strategies. There’s also an element of patience and not trying to change too much or too quickly when things do a bit astray as there will always be some amount of fluctuation in results. Working out whether it’s a temporary fluctuation or a more permanent change in market conditions can be a tough thing to work out.

47 losses in a row is definitely a rough trot. You’d certainly want a decent period of winners after a run like that.

As for Double Dutch Greyhounds. At the moment I’m inclined to agree. And I remain frustrated by the fact that what seemed to be working so well, turned on a dime and stopped working so thoroughly. I will revisit it at some stage to see if I can work out something else, but for the moment I have other things on my plate.

    Merry Christmas to you both!
