This directory contains my files from the IT Systems Assignment (Term 3 2005). This file explains some genral notes about the documents.

All these files can be downloaded in the zip or rar file located in this directory, or individually from the subdirectory "files"

Most of the files in this directory were created with Open Office 2.0 Beta 2 (Build 125) and have been saved in various other formats. PDF format will appear in the same way as the original documents, but will not be easily editable. Other file formats may lose some of the original formatting.

If you are wondering why the Open Office files are so small compared to the MS Office & PDF files, it is because Open Office files are zipped. If you rename one so that it becomes a zip file, you will discover a bunch of files inside which make up the Open Office file.

The following file types have been used:
*.odt Open Office 2.0 Beta 2 (Word processor) (Open Document Standard, also readable by OOo 1.1.5+)
*.ods Open Office 2.0 Beta 2 (spreadsheet) (Open Document Standard, also readable by OOo 1.1.5+)
*.doc Microsoft Word 97/2000 (not original for most files, may lose formatting)
*.xls Microsoft Excel 97/2000 (original for one file)
*.pdf Adobe Acrobat 4+ (Not original or editable, but will retain formatting)

Documentation
	.odt original file format
	.doc has lost formatting (and automatic table of contents filling)
	.pdf looks normal

Individual Report
	.odt original file format
	.doc seems fine
	.pdf also fine

Invoice1
	.xls original file format
	.ods mostly fine
	.pdf taken from ods file...almost correct

Invoice Letter
	.doc original file format
	.odt works fine
	.pdf also works fine
