Report it to ‘Frog’ from Songland .

#2 Comment By Samuel On March 5, 2007 @ 5:33 pm

Perhaps Frog’s Songland will be able to live up to its slogan of “the home of the hard to find” and find the Sir Paul McCartney album titled All The Best with the track listing Windows Media Player provided…it would be as rare as proverbial hen’s teeth.

Any idea who does the ‘frog’ voice in the Songland advert on the radio ?

#4 Comment By Bearded Clam On March 5, 2007 @ 7:37 pm

Huh? I dont get it. What should I be looking for?

#5 Comment By Samuel On March 5, 2007 @ 8:44 pm

You don’t need to be looking for anything Bearded Clam.

#6 Comment By Bearded Clam On March 5, 2007 @ 8:57 pm

I can only see one track listing. Should there be one for Windows Media Player?

#7 Comment By Samuel On March 5, 2007 @ 9:58 pm

Whoops! The image had a .JPG extension instead of a .jpg extension, fixed now.

Word on the grapevine is that the ‘frog’ voice for Songland (in the
radio advert) is done by one Kevin Woolfe !

#9 Comment By Bearded Clam On March 6, 2007 @ 2:31 am

Id suspect that the Windows track listing is for an overseas pressing of the album. Either that or somebody had too many prescription drugs.

I smoked some mull of Kintyre once. I ate a whole can of pineapple rings afterwards! Coincidentally, I was listening to the channel nine news theme at the time.

Normally, when somebody ‘leaves’ a station, that’s it – you
don’t hear from them again….. but not in the case of Kevin
(“wolfman”) Woolfe.

Like a bad penny, he keeps showing up on 2CC to bore
everyone with his gambling and sporting results, despite all the
wailing and wringing of hands when he ‘left’ the station last
year !

Awww, poor Woolfe Man. I think it’s just a side affect of being employed as ACTTAB’s media person.

Personally, I like Kevin.

Hmmmmmmm ……..

#14 Comment By Samuel On March 6, 2007 @ 2:51 pm

Also, I was under the impression that “Frog” was being voiced by Frog.

#15 Comment By John B1_B5 On March 6, 2007 @ 3:31 pm

What you have to ask yourself is – who exactly is this ‘Frog’.
Have you actually been to songland and spoken to ‘Frog’ ?

#16 Comment By John B1_B5 On March 6, 2007 @ 3:54 pm

According to the grapevine, “Frog” is actually Brian ‘Frog’ Harris,
so skipping the first question, what you have to ask yourself is –
Why does Brian Harris call himself ‘Frog’.

#17 Comment By deluge On March 7, 2007 @ 8:40 am

the track listing you have is the UK version. The tracklisting WMP is showing is the US version

#18 Comment By Jackie Birk MLC On March 7, 2007 @ 10:13 am

Could it be because he leaps like a frog ?

#19 Comment By Samuel On March 7, 2007 @ 10:43 am

Thank you for that information Deluge, that certainly solves another mystery.

#20 Comment By Samuel On March 7, 2007 @ 10:45 am

I don’t know Jackie, but that’s another mystery that we may want to solve…perhaps an interview on Samuel’s persiflage with the sole purpose from my perspective of finding out why he is called Frog is in order…nope, scratch that, I just publicised the idea.

#21 Comment By Jackie Birk MLC On March 7, 2007 @ 12:14 pm

Get “Frog” on Samuel’s persiflage.
He owes 2CC listeners an explanation as to why why he calls himself ‘frog’.
Let’s face it, he has a radio ad where he introduces himself as “Frog”, so we, the Canberra public need to know !

No Uncle Albert? That album is for the tip.

#23 Comment By John999555 On March 10, 2007 @ 10:55 am

Will “Frog” appear on Samuel’s persiflage ?
Stay tuned !
