It’s funny how correspondence through the feedback form comes in bursts…people don’t touch it for ages, and then suddenly half a dozen people contact me in a few days. The contact form is great for anonymous contributions, tips etc as it will accept bogus email addresses, and doesn’t record IP addresses.
Anyway, a couple highlights from the last few days:

Indeed I have Preston, in fact I made reference to Flexibus being scrapped nearly two weeks ago [3] (and possibly before that…I can’t recall), but it’s nice to know that the information has been released by those more prominent than myself, and therefore is much more likely to be followed through with.

Well they’re not going on strike again in the forseeable future. Since the strike [4] ACTION and the Transport Workers Union have been having some useful discussions, ACTION have once again withdrawn the split shifts, and this time the TWU have publicised it, so things are looking good. The last thing I heard was Klaus Pinkas from the TWU sounding rather pleased with the progress of the talks.

Unfortunately that was one of the more legible passages of nemzoid45r’s email, but I’m sure you get the drift…it’s been a while since I’ve had someone berate me illegibly, so it’s nice to know people still feel a need to be idiots online.
Actually, the more I think about it, the more I agree with one of Mike Jeffreys’ sayings:
“God must love idiots, becuase he made so many of them”.

U2 and Green Day will perform together at the Sept. 25 re-opening of Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, just before the first regular season pro football game played in the Big Easy since Hurricane Katrina. The iconic rock and punk outfits will debut their cover of “The Saints are Coming,” by Scottish post-punk band the Skids, a single whose proceeds will benefit Music Rising, the campaign co-formed by U2’s the Edge to help bring music back to the storm-ravaged Gulf Coast region. “Music Rising is dedicated to helping regain a foothold on their future but will also ensure that one of the Gulf Coast’s greatest assets, its music, will rise again,” the Edge said in a statement.
The collaboration will also launch Music Rising Phase II, in which music instruments will be provided to churches and schools. “The Edge and Music Rising are providing support to schools, churches and musicians who lost everything in the storm, including their ability to make a living. We are honored to be asked and proud to be part of that,” Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong said in a statement.
ESPN will broadcast the performance live during the network’s Monday Night Countdown pre-game show, which begins at 7 P.M. EST. After the event, Rhapsody will make a download of the performance available, with all net proceeds going to Music Rising. The game is the first for the Saints in the Superdome since August 2005, and the first regular season game played in New Orleans since Dec. 26, 2004.

Samuel, I have a question:
What would it take to immortalise my fame and be interviewed on Samuel’s Persiflage? Would I be required to drive to Cheteu de Gordon-Stewart, because I’d be more than willing? We could talk about scammers, or blogging.
