Just having a look at the 2CA website [1] (hooray, they finally updated the AFL schedule), I noticed that they are running a webpoll [2], namely “Who is the biggest knob?”, with the options being Germaine Greer, Jon Stanhope, The Breakfast Boys, Tom Cruise and Paris Hilton.
As I write this post, the results are as follows:
Jon Stanhope 56.0%
Germaine Greer 28.0%
Tom Cruise 6.0%
Paris Hilton 6.0%
The Breakfast Boys 4.0%
So our beloved Chief Turnip is Canberra’s biggest knob…sounds about right.

56% for Stanhope? Wow. He’s even more unpopular than Germaine Greer !

Of course it’s not surprising that Stanhope is so unpopular – given the MASSIVE increase in rates and other charges, a lack of police on the beat, not to mention the proposed school closures .
Listen Stanhope, if you’re not going to gas yourself, the LEAST you could do is give yourself a double uppercut to the chin !

The only positive thing about Stanhope is MASSIVE increases in rates (and other charges ) .

I’d say its more likely that Stanhope is unpopular given 2CA’s listener-base and the fact that there are no other politicians on the list. Coincidence? No way!

It certainly was a limited list of ‘candidates’, no doubt about that.
How about another poll here (on Samuel’s Blog) with a wider selection ?
Samuel can make up the list, and include a bunch of ACT politicians in order of popularity or unpopularity .
