Over the last couple of days I’ve spotted a couple interesting webpolls, unfortunately one of them has already closed, but they are still both worth a look anyway.
One is on the John Laws [1] website posing the question “Would you like to see a halt to the Snowy Hydro sell off?”. This one has closed but the results were fairly conclusive with 84% saying yes and 16% saying no. I’m not at the computer that I registered my “yes” vote at, so I can’t find out how many votes there were.
Slashdot [2] also have an interesting poll [3] running at the moment, the question is “I will obtain Windows Vista…”, the results as they stand at the time of writing this:
When I Specifically Buy It
5243 votes / 9%As Part of a Computer Purchase
8626 votes / 16%Illegally
17304 votes / 32%Never!
17785 votes / 33%CowboyNeal Has My Copy
4860 votes / 9%Total votes: 53818
Incidentally my vote is “Never!”

Happy birthday Samuel,
It’s good to see that you’re having such a great day.
I’m having a shandy to celebrate your nineteenth year.
Webpolls are fun!
Can we expect to see a few polls here at SGS?

Oddly enough I was thinking the same thing about having webpolls here…don’t be surprised if it happens soon.

I’d like to see polls conducted here Samuel as you have a pretty diverse following. I suspect the result could be a microcosm of the whole of Australia.
May I suggest a poll?
Would people appreciate the inclusion of music such as that of Chuck’s on your Persiflages?
I would be very interested in the consensus of opinion.
