On Sunday afternoon I was doing a spot of grocery shopping in City Supabarn [1], paid for the few iems which were required, got my change and receipt and left.

A short time arriving back at home, I checked the back of the receipt paper to see if there were any useful deals on the advertisements.

Did you spot the error? Lets take a closer look.

Yes, that’s right, Magnus Advertising sent Big W’s receipt paper to City Supabarn. Seeing as the only Big W store in Canberra is based in Woden, I wonder if they got Supabarn’s receipt paper?

Ah paper printers……will they ever learn.
A similar thing once happened to me Samuel. I ran down stairs on the first of the month as I always do to and grabbed the mail, in which was a large brown paper envelope containing the months issue of playboy magazine. Such was my excitement that i tore the envelope clean open! Imagine my suprise when i opened said magazine and instead of the raunchy poses of scantily clad ladies I was staring at Don Bourke, in short shorts, “road-testing” a shitzu terrier.
I would like to hear a new segment on Samuels Persiflage called “TYPO”, stories of printing jobs gone wrong!
I think it has a lot of promise.

I forgot about the Big W in Gungahlin, I haven’t seen it in person yet. Apparently there will be another (rather large) Big W in the Section 84 developments in Civic.

Mark, don’t get too excited, that’s a six pack of pies.
I wrote a complaint letter to Sargeant’s after finding a 3cm diameter lump of matted hair and bone in one of their pies.
They sent me a letter of apology saying they were sorting out the problem and a refund.
So I thought that was nice and kept patronising the brand.
Four months later, another bizarre lump of hair, like a weird alien furball.
Otherwise, they are quite scrummy pies.
Hope you didn’t find any in your pies, Samuel.

We can hang streamers, and blow up balloons, and give out lolly bags!! Who wants to volunteer their house? Or maybe a city cafe? We can all wear “I LOVE SGS” shirts so we know who we all are…
