ACTION and the Emergency Cabbage

December 19th, 2005 at 12:35am

When I have a strange dream, I have a very strange dream.

Last night I dreamed that I found an ACTION bus (of the Renault PR100.2 type, not the horrid green contraptions) and decided to run an intertown service before parking it near my house, when I got home I needed to ring 000 (Australia’s emergency phone number) for some reason, so I picked up the phone and dialled 000, only to be greeted by an operator who wanted to talk about cabbages.

Could this be a premonition of a new direction in your career?

A tip: if you ever do steal an ACTON bus (which it sounds like you may have in fact all ready done while sleep walking), never, ever, park it near your house.

I can’t quite grasp the meaning of the cabbage-spruiking emergency operator though …. I’ll get back to you on that one.

Oh, and good to see that you have moved on from inciting self-inflicted rock violence, however reccomending that people drive off in buses they just happen to find sitting around is a surefire recipe for anarchy.

As a matter of fact, any lawyer representing an ACTON bus thief (and I’m sure there’ll now be a rash of them in the courts) could surely get his client off just by referring to the subliminal influence of this blog.

And if you think I’m being silly, just think back to the role the Beatle’s Helter Skelter played in inspiring Charles Manson and his murderous family.

It could become a new career, but I would need a Drivers Licence first. Perhaps I need to ammend the disclaimer at the bottom of the page so it includes “Samuel’s dreams to not constitute advice”.

Mmmmmmm, I think it shows a certain reckless streak to drive without a licence, even in your dreams … and that is if you were in fact snoozing and not sleepwalking.

If there are in fact any ACTION buses missing I suggest the police check to see if there’s one parked outside your house.

If one is parked outside my house then I am worried, thankfully I can’t see one.

Personally I don’t think the bus would go very far with me driving it. I think it is something I will leave to professionals and my dreams.
