2CC Off The Air

November 10th, 2005 at 03:08pm

I think the 2CC Transmitter just died. During the 3PM news 2CC just disappeared from all of my radios, leaving static, which indicates a transmitter problem and not a studio fault. I am still able to pick up every other AM station, including 2CC’s sister station the next studio 2CA.

I’ve rung 2CC to inform them, I’m probably not the only one….I am however holding out hope that this is a problem which has only happened in my house…John B1_B5, can you recieve them?

Update: At 3:15 they have fixed it, starting with some music and then cutting to an ad break.

Get yourself a life, loser – a REAL life and not the make believe one you currently reside in.

If this is a make believe life then I can take comfort in the fact that you and the TSSH loonies (of which I think you are one) do not exist…hooray!

ARe you sure it wasn’t the l33t TSSH signal-jamming van (piloted by Hambo) that’s currently parked outside your house?

  • 4. Samuel  |  November 10th, 2005 at 3:50 pm

Yep, I’m sure…mainly because 2CC know they were off air as well.

By the way, my continued permission for this TSSH excitement is not guaranteed.

Woah! The signal jamming was so effective it took the STATION off the air? That’s impressive. Even Macgyver couldn’t make a jammer like that.

The transmitter was off the air for 15 minutes ! ( No apology for the transmission break was heard ).

The 2CC transmitter has been off the air 4 times this afternoon (since 2pm ) . Each break has been of around 30 seconds duration, so they obviously have a transmitter problem at Gungahlin .

Yep, that transmitter needs to be replaced or repaired in my opinion. At the rate it is going it might just die overnight on a weekend (don’t they always) and that could leave 2CC off air for a whole weekend depending on staff levels.

I’m going to call The Drive Show and see if I can arrange to have a look at the transmitter when I go out there next week to pick up my book .
