My thoughts and prayers go to Paul B. I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with breast cancer nine years ago (aged 34). I am now fighting fit. I wish him a quick recovery. I will miss his banter with George Moore over the next few weeks.

The last time I entered a Starbucks was in April 2005 [..] I have personally made coffee with a teabag in it which tasted better than the coffee I endured there

It really was awful and I’m not surprised that the stores are going. I am surprised that it took this long though.

Answer is easy Samuel, their coffee is c.r.a.p!

The demise of Starbucks in Australia proves that Australians know what good coffee should taste like, and that we will not accept insipid, lukewarm imitations infused with sweet artificial flavourings and called by names we don’t recognise, from a country that wouldn’t know a decent cup of coffee from a Jeep Grand Cherokee!!

What exactly do you do here? Are you a media monitor?

Moved to Canberra at the start of last year, tried out 104 and 106 and couldn’t stomach it, why does Canberra offer so few AM alternatives?

Was very interested to see about Thompson leaving 2CC though, do you know who his replacement will be? Do you have a preference?

Jeffreys seems more amiable of late. Seems to get more callers that way…changes behind the scenes perhaps?

Also, think the Can will get their own midday host? I hate that half the shows are streamed from Sydney on AM, FM and the regional TV stations. Please explain!

I’m aware of that, but the weekend was the only agreeable time, and that meant leaving Canberra at 6pm. The daylight hours just seemed more appropriate.

It was about a twenty minute walk. I didn’t mind the walk except that I forgot to take in to account the warmer weather.

With the success rate of my tipping being as it is, I should probably prepare an editorial on how “the criminally insane should not be allowed to sue anyone” for the almost inevitable day that somebody tries to sue me because they bet their house on one of my tips.

I didn’t hear the race but I did hear most of the AFL match. It was a very disappointing match.

My name is about five lines above your comment and this is my blog. Welcome mdelforce, it’s nice to make your acquaintance.

What I mean by “but to the same extent it doesn’t really bother me, just like almost every other “celebrity” story” is that news stories about the personal lives of most celebrities/actors are of very little interest to me. It makes no difference to me whether Scott Burgess is getting divorced or not, but I do hope that he is able to sort out whatever problems he may have in his life in a speedy manner because marital problems can be a huge emotional drain on a person.

The main purpose of the email that I wrote to 2UE’s Stuart Bocking and copied on to here wasn’t really to talk about Scott Burgess, but to provide Stuart with some information about a television show which he didn’t quite seem to remember the details of.
