Horse confusionings

This morning I did do of say of the horse tippings from Mr. Boss of horse three in the number five race which is before I was doing the realise of that there is and are many different places for the horses to have racing and they are of do each have own numbers of races.

I did went to betting shop in morning time to buy one dollar of betting on horse and was then of in graden workings for Mr. Boss in 3:40 time when races was do happen and so did stop of plantings to listen to the radio for the racings and did hear of the other horse doing the winnings and not the Interna horses that I did have of the ticket on writings on ticket.

I then did do go back to work of gardens in the plantings of the petunias which I am have been moving from spot of much afternoon sunshine to the morning sunshine as for heat is too much in afternoon times for having of petunias locationed there and some have not been of growing well much. So much and many plantings are now to be move to spot of where I did do say is good for planting in first time but is not the much of scenic as for doing Mr. Boss of entertainments for guests in garden. I was did have radio on still and was doing listen to horses racing as I was forget of to do change station to the 702 for hearings of Mr. Richard who is man of nice voice for singings which he should be do more of and did hear other races doing start. and one doing finish.

Mr. Boss was in shed near house and I did do hear of screamings from there loud and ran over with shovel as I was thinking of worried and Mr. Boss had been have of the injury happen and ran over much concern to see only that Mr. Boss was happy and was of thankfully not hurt at all much and did tell me then of his horse of friend owners and jockeys was do the winnings which was much of the confusion as I had heard it not do happen. I did do say this to Mr. Boss and he did have the chucklers and many laughings and was of asking to see ticket as I did do show and then was more of the laughetfter. He was then did do say explanation of horse being racing in of Brisbane and not in of Sydney and which was of why I was had wrong horse.

The horse was of race five and three number but was in of Brisbane and of name Fly To Win where it did the winnings and was much of the wonderful. I was much happy for Mr. Boss and did do ask if he would be liking cup of tea for cebleratings which he was much happy for, and he then did say to me of the sorry for hearing of my do mistake and confusions and so did offer to pay to me of money which I was would have done winnings if I had been correct of placings of betting shop. I did not much want to accept but Mr. Boss did give to me of the $7.60 anyway which was much lovely, and so on way home I did do stop at fish shop for buying of fish with winnings and then did go to home to have nice special meal with nice cat Slavcatchski of the Fish Kchuch with the extra pepper and capsicum of which Slavcatchski is very much like of the pepper and capsicum even more than he is do like of fish! I think he if is cat of strange at times but it is so much lovely and wonderful.

I am still having confusions of the how it does do work that bettings can happen on horses without doing purchase of the horses, and so Mr. Boss has said of he will do explainings on the Friday as I did do of say to him that I would be go to betting shop to ask them and he was having laughters and did do say that he would be happy for explaining to me.

Also I must be doing mention of thank you to Mr. Samuel for opportunity to do writings and I am do hope to be having column regularly back on of Monday time as well as long that I am do have the times for writing in prepperations for the examination test of the English lessons which does do happen on Tuesday night.

I am wish you much lovely and good happyness and health to you and family as does Mother Of Russia who did do say to me on telephelone that she is enjoying weather of Russia but Uncle Boris is finding the colds to be very much cold this year and is thinking of do the visitings to Australia is months soon, and she hopes all of people in Australia are much happy and warm and will keep the warm away from her nice house of the cold.

The English Learnings

Dear for day hello is still much hot and I am now back from work of gradrens where it was too much of hot for doing many of the works and I did do come home to be with nice cat Slavcatchski who is also not much of the heatings for hotness as he does have much coat of lovely the fur which is doing capture and holding of heating and is like doing the wear of coat and jumper of at same time in summer which is not much good and does do many lots of the drinking and is also for good to be in the water but is not of partial to nice cat Slavcatchski who is not the good for being water which is not favourting activities.

Tonight in time I am to be go to the studys of the Englishes with Mrs Porrit who I have been doing the learns from for of time of the two years and maybe the more and am soon to be getting second cerfiticatct of the Englishes for the good learns and better of the English. I am think English is much lovely language but it to be hard as at times for the letterings are of the different noises to what I am do see in of the Russian and Mrs. Porrit is finding amusement in letters of the backward Ns of my pronouncing in confusions of times which is much the hardest and Mrs. Porrit is doing many times of sing to me of alphabet song of A B C D E F G but I am often do confuse of N and W which I am do think are better if having the swappery.

I am to be do special story of the verbs tonight which are the words of doing and many actions for much and many and I am doing look forward to this and the many more study before the tests of next week for certificafte which I am nearly of to be get of from say Mrs. Porrit who is the teacher of much lovely.

I am today writing os of the heats which are happening in hotly today as I am to be doing the work of Graderens for nice Mr. Boss in outside and also in of greenhouse which is much hot as temperature doings are for high of the 40 today in some of places which is much hot but also especially for me as I am from the Russia where it is usually often almost usually much of the colder in temperature doings as it does do have snow. I am of quite fascinating how the plantings do the grow in temperatures of the heat and am doing many of the learnings of Gradren from the doing work of gardens for Mr. Boss.

Also of good for the learnings os Mr. Don of the morning radio on weekends who does many good talkings of garden which is of good but is not for doing the good talkings of the singings to gradren which I am do think is much important for all of time growing in gardern as the plantings are much happier if having done the sing of to them do to them.

Higgins and Bradfield by-elections

Two by-elections have taken place today, one in the electorate of Bradfield for the seat of former Liberal Party leader Brendan Nelson, and the other in Higgins for the seat of former federal Treasurer Peter Costello.

Labor have, for reasons best known to them, decided not to run candidates in these by-elections, effectively making the Greens the main left-wing party to contest these elections. I’m a tad busy panelling for a 1WAY FM Outside Broadcast of Twin City Church’s Carols By Candlelight as well as doing a couple odd jobs for my day job, but I’m trying to keep an eye on these elections as well. Unfortunately I don’t think that they can really be considered a test of Tony Abbott’s leadership without Labor candidates to go up against…but with the party of climate doom (The Greens) as the main opposition in these seats, it is a barometer of the electorate’s stance on climate change.

I’ll update this post with results throughout the night.

7:37pm
Bradfield (top three) – 18.27%% counted
FLETCHER, Paul William – Liberal Party – 9,213 votes (56.14%)
GEMMELL, Susie – The Greens – 4,157 votes (25.33%)
LEISHMAN, Marianne – Australian Sex Party – 524 votes (3.19%)

Higgins (top three) – 21.83% counted
O’DWYER, Kelly – Liberal Party – 9,527 votes (51.59%)
HAMILTON, Clive – The Greens – 6,535 votes (35.39%)
MULHOLLAND, John – D.L.P. – Democratic Labor Party – 662 votes (3.59%)

8:10pm
Bradfield (top three) – 38.06% counted
FLETCHER, Paul William – Liberal Party – 19,087 votes (56.04%)
GEMMELL, Susie – The Greens – 8,683 votes (25.49%)
LEISHMAN, Marianne – Australian Sex Party – 1,102 votes (3.24%)

Higgins (top three) – 47.28% counted
O’DWYER, Kelly – Liberal Party – 21,012 votes (52.57%)
HAMILTON, Clive – The Greens – 13,791 votes (34.50%)
MULHOLLAND, John – D.L.P. – Democratic Labor Party – 1,504 votes (3.76%)

8:40pm
Bradfield (top three) – 53.38% counted
FLETCHER, Paul William – Liberal Party – 26,271 votes (55.30%)
GEMMELL, Susie – The Greens – 12,406 votes (26.12%)
LEISHMAN, Marianne – Australian Sex Party – 1,585 votes (3.34%)
The Liberal Party appear to be home here.

Higgins (top three) – 58.21% counted
O’DWYER, Kelly – Liberal Party – 25,326 votes (51.47%)
HAMILTON, Clive – The Greens – 17,302 votes (35.16%)
MULHOLLAND, John – D.L.P. – Democratic Labor Party – 1,933 votes (3.93%)
This one is a bit closer. The Liberals look pretty comfortable, but Clive Hamilton has a chance on preferences.

8:48pm
The Liberal Party’s Kelly O’Dwyer has declared herself victorious in Higgins. She is almost certainly right, but I would have expected Bradfield to be declared first.

9:05pm
Bradfield (top three) – 58.88% counted
FLETCHER, Paul William – Liberal Party – 29,050 votes (55.46%)
GEMMELL, Susie – The Greens – 13,674 votes (26.10%)
LEISHMAN, Marianne – Australian Sex Party – 1,734 votes (3.31%)
The Liberals have this one in the bag. They should have declared by now.

Higgins has not been updated on the AEC website since the last update.

9:40pm
The Liberals have now declared themselves victorious in Higgins as well.

9:45pm
Bradfield (top three) – 66.41% counted
FLETCHER, Paul William – Liberal Party – 32,501 votes (55.12%)
GEMMELL, Susie – The Greens – 15,567 votes (26.40%)
LEISHMAN, Marianne – Australian Sex Party – 2,002 votes (3.40%)

Higgins (top three) – 61.49% counted (result is final according to the AEC website. Not sure if they mean for the night or if they’re not bothering to count the rest of the votes)
O’DWYER, Kelly – Liberal Party – 26,893 votes (51.74%)
HAMILTON, Clive – The Greens – 18,172 votes (34.96%)
MULHOLLAND, John – D.L.P. – Democratic Labor Party – 2,031 votes (3.91%)

10:05pm
Bradfield (top three) – 69.20% counted (another “final” result)
FLETCHER, Paul William – Liberal Party – 33,991 votes (55.38%)
GEMMELL, Susie – The Greens – 16,071 votes (26.18%)
LEISHMAN, Marianne – Australian Sex Party – 2,087 votes (3.40%)

Global warming?

See what happens when Al Gore cancels one of his aeroplane trips and hot air speeches…it snows in Texas!

Houston this morning broke a record with the earliest snowfall ever recorded in the city’s history.

Forecasters are still hedging their bets on the amount, but say the most likely scenario is 1 to 2 inches of widespread snowfall through the day. Some areas could get up to a half a foot.

Light snow already was falling downtown and in other areas before 8:30 a.m. Other forms of precipitation — such as rain, freezing, rain, sleet and hail — also have been reported. Houston’s main weather recording station at Bush Intercontinental Airport reported at trace of snow at 8 a.m., meaning Dec. 4 will go down as the new record.

But emergency management officials say snow isn’t the biggest concern — it’s icy roads. A 12-hour freeze period is expected to begin after sundown today, continuing into Saturday, which could cause hazardous driving conditions.

Meanwhile a similar story is being played out in other parts of the state:

KVUE Storm Team meteorologists expected snow flurries to move into the Interstate 35 corridor Friday morning through mid-afternoon; in fact, very light snow was spotted in the KVUE parking lot in North Austin just before 9 a.m.

Total accumulations in the Hill Country will range from 1/2″ to 1″. Up to 1/2″ was expected in the Austin metro area, and 1″-2″ to the east of Austin near LaGrange.

A winter weather advisory was also in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The high Friday will be 36

And a “freeze warning” is in place in the Nevada desert, with snow expected in Las Vegas on Tuesday:
Vegas Freeze

Yep, sure is warm there!

The New South Wales soap opera continues

I remember back in 2006 saying to 2UE’s Stuart Bocking that if the New South Wales government was a television soap opera, it would be accused of being too unrealistic. Alas, for the poor sods of New South Wales (OK, some of them deserve it…they did vote for this mess) it’s about as real as it gets.

Today the soap opera continued to get worse by fulfilling a story line which the writers have been slowly forcing on us since August. Kristina Keneally, planning minister for ensuring enviro-whacko involvement slows down development, is the new Premier. She does make history for being the first female Premier of New South Wales (or, to be more precise, she will, once the official swearing-in ceremony takes place), and for that I congratulate her…I just wish there was something to celebrate here.

The weird thing about New South Wales is that all that ever seems to happen is the same incompetent people are given different portfolios to “manage”. Once they have done a bad enough job, they get “promoted” off to another job. If you make bad decisions for long enough, you get promoted to Premier, take all the heat from the media about the daily disasters of your government, and then after a few dismal years get to disappear from public life and take up a job with Macquarie Bank. Nathan Rees was so bad at it that he got out of the leadership one day before his 15 month anniversary.

The only thing preventing the Liberals from taking power is that nobody seems to be convinced (even the Liberals themselves don’t appear convinced) that they would do a better job. I just believe that, no matter how addicted Barry O’Farrell is to media stunts, he couldn’t possibly be any worse. This feeling is reaffirmed by the fact that one of Kristina’s closest supporters is “minister-for-almost-everything-he-can-possibly-break” Joe Tripod One.

It occurs to me that Kristina Keneally and US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have two things in common. Firstly, they are both of the far-left delusion that socialism works (to be fair, Kristina is on the right with a lot of social issues, but is firmly planted on the left for economic issues). Secondly, they are both from Nevada (I don’t know how I’m going to break it to my Vegas friends that one of their escapees has moved their deckchair to the helm of the SS Titanic New South Wales). One must therefore wonder if the writers of this horrifying soap opera intend on bringing in Harry “Dingy” Reid as Kristina’s deputy when his electorate finally vote him out next year. Between her links to the right-wing of the Party, and Harry’s links to the left, she might just be able to stave off a mutiny long enough for Labor to lose an election.

For the record, Kristina defeated Nathan 47 to 21 in today’s leadership spill. That says more about Nathan’s embarrassing tenure as Premier than it does about Kristina. Realistically, these people should have been unheard-of backbenchers following a John Brogden victory in 2004. One can only dream of how much better New South Wales would be if John hadn’t shot himself in the foot with that stupid “I don’t think I can win” speech a couple days before that election.

So, who wants to predict how long Kristina will last as Premier?

Julia Gillard and reality don’t mix

With New South Wales Premier Nathan Rees facing the possibility of a leadership challenge, Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard has thrown in her two cents worth on Nathan’s performance as Premier:

“Obviously Nathan Rees has been doing a wonderful job in the state of New South Wales”

Source: 2GB 11am news

Julia, please just go on your taxpayer-funded holiday and leave the commentary to the sane.
