Samuel’s Blog Weekly Poll: Tasers Vibrating with the dolphins

In Deniliquin again

June 15th, 2009 at 07:58pm

And here until Saturday afternoon.

As usual, some stats from the trip. Unfortunately without a working odometer I can’t be exact with the distance of my journey (nor can I find stats from a previous time taking this route) however according to Google Maps, the route I used is 495km long.

I left home at 13:50 and arrived at the hotel in Deniliquin at 19:17, and took a 40 minute break at the McDonalds near Gundagai (where I had a flat white and a blueberry muffin). This makes my total driving time 4 hours and 47 minutes, which makes my average speed 103.484320557491289198606271777 KM/H.

    Hi Samuel,

    Sorry.
    I disagree.
It’s illegal to drive faster than a jumbo jet.
    That 2nd-last 7 should be a “4”.
As we all know, your of Stirling fine upstanding honest law-abiding stuff, & couldn’t possibly have travelled faster than “…….747”

Please don’t feel embarrased about this. you can make it up on the way home, reducing that “…..777” time to “….717”.
    That’ll balance it out nicely.

Make sure to keep the eat-drink time to exactly 40 minutes ‘though.

Really glad to see you are back in Deni, even if just for a short time. I trust you keep warm in body & soul, enjoying your surrounds & Deni-ites.

Finally was able to have a flying visit (from 1pm Fri 15th to 9am Sat 16th), catching a quick ‘glimpse’ (well you couldn’t call it “catch-up”) with two good mates then. First visit back to Deni since Feb/March 1997. A real pity it was such a short time.

    Hello nbrettoner,

Yep, aeroplane jokes…are there any worse jokes? I did get a chuckle out of it.

I’m glad that you managed to visit Deni, pity it was last week though…if it had been this week I would have offered shout you lunch or similar.

It has been a pretty good week (albeit with a hectic end). Back on air tomorrow morning on 2QN, then recording 2QN/3NE afternoons for Sunday and Monday before I drive home.
