Hello Stuart,
I hear that we have lost Clive Robertson from the overnight show…that is a shame, his humour and intellect through the night were really great company and I'll miss the unusual conversations I used to have with him. I just hope he didn't leave because I haven't rung for a while (or maybe he left because I might ring again).
I don't know what we're going to do without Clive…I suppose you could extend your show by five and a half hours or John Kerr could do seven nights a week…or maybe we should just give the show to Abe? Or what about the king…I don't suppose Lawsie is looking to get back in to radio?
I'm going to miss Clive…if you're listening Clive (or even if you're not), best of luck for the future, it was always a pleasure listening to you.

That is an absolute bummer..Clive was good value, always has been. Apparently one of the reasons was the fact the hours were hard to deal with. In any case I’ll miss him not being on, the guy is just plain hilarious!
If there’s any other way to get in touch with him I’d love to hear it – be great to get his permission to put up segments of a few 80’s episodes of Newsworld I still have.

According to Stuart last night, Clive hasn’t completely severed ties with 2UE, so perhaps if you write to him care of 2UE they’ll be able to forward your message to him.

I completely agree with dan11 (different thread) about Robertson being under-utilised on the graveyard shift. It’d bugger up anyone’s biorhythms, doing those hours for an extended period. I used to enjoy switching Clive on during my 3am sojourns to the fridge. One of the funniest lines I remember Clive saying was when he once had lunch at the Gunning tip, and that he had to leave his papers on the ground because there weren’t any garbage bins “it’s the little things….” Classic!
