Where are the radio reviews?

March 28th, 2007 at 11:38am

What a good question…I’m glad five people have felt a need to email that question to me in the last three hours.

Long story short, they’re invisible and will remain that way until I write them. This week has been a bit out of the ordinary for me and unfortunately at 2am the only thing that had any appeal whatsoever was sleep, and plenty of it.

The radio reviews will come in time, and if you ask very nicely Kevin Woolfe might get ACTTAB to open a market on it…although I suspect that they will appear long before ACTTAB even consider it.

If you’re wondering why I keep planning on writing the radio reviews and keep putting them off, it’s because they each take over an hour. Reviewing an hour of radio takes a bit longer than an hour, and requires my full concentration. There is no point in me doing it when I’m going to be distracted or fall asleep.

Take your time, Sam. Your adoring public has patience.

I agree! I would rather read a thorough review than a hastily assembled, poorly researched piece of opinion-mongering codswallup!
So take your time Samuel – there’s no pressure.

Samuel, just a quick question: where are the radio reviews?

No, they are very good, and an interesting read. I didn’t exactly agree with your ‘review’ of “How to Save a Life” by The Fray, but that’s what makes things interesting.

More importantly – Where are the radio transmitters located ?

Your mission Samuel (should you decide to accept it), is to seek
out and take photos of the 2CC transmitter and antenna, and then
post them here on your website in the form of a blog.

Hmmmm ….. Looks like he decided NOT to accept the mission.
    I can understand why.
Getting a photo of the actual transmitter wouldn’t be easy, so,
the mission has been modified slightly –

Your mission is to get a photo of the 2CC transmitter HUT (and associated antenna).
It’s believed to be somewhere in the Gungahlin area.

    Good luck Samuel !

I suppose I could accept that mission, on the condition that this message doesn’t explode. I don’t think the hosting provider appreciate explosions in their servers.

If you are apprehended, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your mission.

This message (and those that have gone before), will, unfortunately, not self destruct, but will remain on the comments
board for all to see, and will continue to remain there unless
    deleted.

“will continue to remain there unless deleted” ……. meaning deleted by The Editor (SGS) .

PS – If there’s a transmission line running from the transmitter
building to the antenna, get a picture of that as well, will ya ?
