Residents of Canberra, and possibly people outside of Canberra would remember the hail storm which hit Canberra on New Years Eve.

With thanks to Chris and Vik of Conder, here are a bunch of photos of the Conder area during and just after the storm.

    Whew, that’s quite a runoff !
I could certainly use some of that wasted water on my garden
    right now.

If we could find who is responsible for these storms, we could fine them for breaching the water restrictions! Then they would have to dump the water in the dams.

At least we know the Floodways around Canberra work reasonably well in heavy downpours – if nothing else.

Oh.. and Chief Minister…. don’t try to claim credit for the
Floodways — they were around long before YOU appeared
    on the scene !
