And the Australian Of The Year Is…

Dr. Tim Flannery. I’m yet to see it on AAP or Radioinfo (who are distributing audio), but 2UE’s 7PM news has announced Dr. Flannery as the Australian Of The Year.

Congratulations Tim.

Update 7:08pm: OK, AAP and Radioinfo have caught up. End Update

Samuel

IMO, Lawsie should have been Australian of the year.

God knows, he gives so much, and asks for so little in return

BIFF BANG POW to Flannery!

COP THAT

Personally, I’d wait until he retires to give him that award, I just think the award would be more meaningful with a full career behind him.

And I think Dr. Flannery is a worthy recipient, even if I do think there is much more to climate change than just human intervention.

Geeze, poor old Doc Flannery copped a BIFF BANG POW from Bearded Calm.
Not exactly the sort of feedback Doc Flannery would be expecting
I’d imagine.

I think its a good choice. He is accomplished and has done well to spread his thinking into the public forum.

2006…well it is only January so I suppose I can accept it!

Good. You certainly deserve it. The improvement in your blogs
over the 12 month period ending December 2006 is spectacular,
to say the least.

Yes, well I suppose congratulations are in order.

The “Most Improved Australian Blogger Award ” is an extremely prestigious and enviable award, and rates even higher
than the various “Best Australian BloggerAward”, which, I might add, are a dime a dozen !
