Favicon

Has anybody here noticed the minor change to the website? It now has a favicon which looks like the head of Samuel from Samuel In Dolgnwot.

Actually, I’ll show that to you at a larger size:

This should be appearing in your browser in the address bar, and in just about any other location you have a link to Samuel’s Blog, including bookmarks/favourites and the tabs in Firefox, Opera, Konqueror and Safari just to name a few.

It is unique as far as I can tell, and I think it adds a touch of useful branding to the site. I hope you like it.

I am using Firefox and I ain’t getting any Favicon. Any suggestions?

I’m using Firefox too and I’m not seeing it either.

I am however able to listen to Persiflage- the problem was that I had the sound on mute. Highly intelligent aren’t I.

Do you see the green image with the face on it in the post above? I had to perform a “hard refresh” to make Firefox display it (obviously it doesn’t want to pound the site with favicon requests for every page it loads) by pressing CTRL-F5. Try that on a Samuel’s Blog page and see if that helps.

I just deleted Samuel’s Blog from bookmarks. I then cleared history and cache. I then typed in ^[1] into browser and presto I now have Favicon.

This is very exciting and a defining moment in the history of Samuel’s Blog.

Can I suggest one? ‘Happy’ the Flavicom. I was going to put ‘Mestopholis’ but I couldn’t spell it. It means the debil.

By the way John B1 BO, try avoiding the use of ‘LOL’ it makes you look 60 years younger.
