Why was the website crossed out?

Quite simply because Internet Explorer doesn’t follow standards properly and as such didn’t like some of the crossing out in the most recent footy tips [1] post. Firefox, Opera, and probably Safari which do seem to follow standards, did not have this problem.

The problem has now been fixed, and those of you using Internet Explorer are free from the crossing out, although I do have to say something along the lines of:
Upgrade to Firefox 1.5! [2]
(Or Opera [3], or Mozilla Suite [4], or even Netscape [5] if you are really desperate)

Glad you got THAT sorted out . ( I thought you had resorted to crossing out your own postings ) .

I’m a Firefox user, but I was getting the crossed out text as well.

Either way, make the switch, people!

Very odd Andrew, my Firefox installation wasn’t showing excessive crossing out, now was my Opera installation. Internet Explorer 6 did though. IE also failed to display my football tips (probably not a bad thing considering that I got 2 out of 7).
