Editorial Echoes #3 Underground Cabling Photographic Tour

Editorial Echoes #4

March 17th, 2006 at 06:00am

This morning Samuel takes a look at the Commonwealth Games and their reputation as the “goodwill games”.

The episode can be downloaded from here.

I was in a much less noisy environment for this one, so I’ve tried it without noise reduction, I think it comes out OK, let me know if you have a view on the noise reduction or lack thereof.

The next episode will be on Monday, as this is a weekday podcast.

Not as “tinny” as before .

I’ve been using the internal microphone rather than the external microphone which was supplied with the digital notetaker for the last two episodes which has helped.

The external microphone is good for lectures and such where the speaker is moving and can be a fair distance away, whilst the internal microphone is very good for nearby speech and provides higher sound quality.

John that is why it is called ‘Editorial Echoes’!

No Chuck, the echo which can be heard during some episodes is an accidental side effect of the noise reduction and recording method. The naming, and the actual echo, bear only a coincidental link.

An easy mistake for the young player to make.

It’s mildly odd, that’s for sure.

Maybe you should adjust your EQ for Editorial Echoes JohnB1_B5. I think the echo is poignant Wonko. What do you think?

No need to . Samuel has ‘sorted’ it .

A few comments regarding the actual “podcast” .

I too thought the opening ceremony was a “bit over the top” .

I shan’t be watching the Games, because I really don’t give a toss who wins (or who loses ).

I noticed Her Majesty (with The Duke trailing behind ) didn’t waste any time heading off for Singapore once she had officially opened the games .

I think the opening music for the podcast is still a bit loud , but other than that, all seemed to go well . Shall look forward to the next broadcast .
