Thursday! My Morning and CIT

What’s in store today

February 10th, 2006 at 07:27am

I’m going to make this post very very brief as I have a lot to do today and need to get started shortly.

Today will contain my first CIT class, which is scheduled from 9am-2pm (hopefully including some breaks). After this I will be heading to Bunnings Belconnen’s grand opening where Mike Frame will be running a 2CC outside broadcast.

Mike will be on-air from 3pm-6pm Canberra time (GMT+11) so why don’t you give him a call and say g’day. Of course it would help if you have something to contribute to the program, perhaps you have a view on a news issue that you would like to express. Give Mike a call on 62554444. Mike quite correctly states that he has “an open line and an open mind”, so I’m sure he would love to hear what it is that you have to say.

I will (hopefully) post a review of my day this evening, it should be quite a day.

Samuel

I’ll try and give Mike a call , if I get time . I’ve got a ‘lot on my plate’ today too ! —– Even if I don’t call him, I’ll be listening ( the most dangerous time to be on the road in Canberra is between 3 – 6 pm on a Friday — for some reason, a lot of motorists go ‘beserk’ during that period ) ……soooooooo….I’ll be listening from the comfort (and safety) of my Computer Shack (formerly Radio Shack ) .

Oh….by the way Samuel …congratulations on that Blog award you won recently .

I’ve been really busy lately , what with breaking up with my Ebony babe……joining new sites …..etc….etc …..

Don’t get the bit about Marcia’s “camel toe” …. ???? ….maybe somebody could explain that to me ……. ( the picture doesn’t show her toes … lol ) .

    Hi John,
It’s great to have you back, one of the voices of sanity around here.

I recently got back from Belconnen myself and have a few things to do, but you can expect the summary of my day shortly.

Ok…..I heard Mike mention that you and him went for a walk around the new store before he went on air …..and as usual, there was a ‘music break’ when something went wrong with the OB ! ….. ( nothing new there, haha ).

Hmmm, I must have missed the “music break”, when did that happen?

I was at the OB until about 3:50 and heard most of it until about 5:10.

I can’t remember exactly ….. I was busy doing stuff on my computer , but there was a short break of music for about 5 to 10 minutes …..maybe around 4…. but I’m only guessing .

    Hey Sam,

    Short-time reader, first-time poster.

I hope you enjoyed your first class!

I think it would have had to have been after 5pm John as there were no frantic “we’ve lost the signal” moments while I was there, and I’m sure one of them would have got a phone call from the studio if they didn’t notice at Bunnings. I think I missed about two minutes around 5pm, was listening until after the clown and the man on stilts left, and didn’t hear any more of it after that.

Anyway, doesn’t matter, at least this OB didn’t bring a thunderstorm!

Andrew, welcome and thanks for commenting. I did (mostly) enjoy my first class at CIT, it was much more enjoyable than the name suggested, but the name was a poor choice for the class anyway.

That’s a clever pun in the heading Sam!

How did you enjoy the OB? Hopefully photos will be forthcoming :p

It was purely unintentional as well!

The OB was great, photos and a few videos are on their way, I’m writing that post before going to bed.

“It’s great to have you back, one of the voices of sanity around here.”

Now Sam who are you implying is insane?.

  • 11. Samuel  |  February 12th, 2006 at 5:29 pm

I personally claim to be partially insane, but what I meant is that John B1_B5 brings his own unique brand of sanity to the website. I wasn’t implying that anyone around here is insane, although I’m sure we’ve all done it from time to time.
