Dream Of Cats

February 5th, 2006 at 08:34pm

Ah yes, I had another strange dream, this one contained cats.

For one reason or another I was inspecting an apartment at the Bega Flats (for those of you unfamiliar with Inner North Canberra’s public housing facilities, the Bega Flats aren’t exactly what you would describe as prestigious), however this wasn’t a standard apartment for the area, instead of being small and old, it was new, huge and shiny. It had a phone in every room, and they all connected to a big black box on the wall of the kitchen (with sticky tape and wires like a power cord…).

I started looking through the rest of the apartment and walked through a large lounge room which was followed by a large open room with a pool table and a lot of open space, around the corner was a large table and three small cats (they looked more like ferrets than cats, but not to worry.)

I approached the cats and they came over to me, I gave them some attention, but the third one stayed back, I went over and picked it up but it didn’t like that so I put it down again…suddenly they cats started creeping towards me in a vicious manner, I backed off into the room with the pool table, the cats continued to follow me, the third cat caught up to me and bit my hand between my thumb and my forefinger. I could feel the pain and woke up to a stinging sensation where the bite had occured in the dream.

Why wasn’t Nattie there to see the cats off?

Because it was a dream and I can’t control what happens there, let alone who or what appears.

Used to know a cat like that…

I also remember having a siamese cat who was weird. It took on a border collie cross we brought home, and had to be dragged off the poor dog three times.

Then it chased the dog around the backyard. Nothing so sickening as to watching a dog running FROM a cat.

Eventually, the cat and dog got to be friends…a bit TOO friendly. Had to scratch my head watching the dog give the cat cunninglinguist. One has not lived until one’s seen that.

Real life cat antics, NOT a dream or an imaginary story.

    (Taken from http://predictions.astrology.com/dd/cats.html)

“Cats have several commonly observed meanings that translate pretty easily between waking and dreams. Traditionally, cats have symbolized intuitive or magical powers. The former may be a herald to trust intuition. The latter may be a fantasy on your part to acquire witch skills or to investigate occult matters.

Of course, your own cat may simply appear in your dreams as a member of your daily life.”

    Hmm…Some food for thought.

Sam i am trying to interperate your dream. Its interesting these dreams when we wake up feeling the sensation, like a dream of a long car trip, without stops, wishing there was a chance to go to the loo!………..and when you wake up you must go to the toilet!.

Perhaps it was nuerological expansion (when nerves transmit the wrong message, one where the brain thinks the muscle has stretched)?.

The three cats may symbolise luck, they are a lucky symbil.
The third shy cat may represent some reluctance you have to persue an ambition……

demented_cupcake, why are you saying the dog game me to the cat? Why are you making fun of my name? I’m a smarty and I like words. What is so funny about that?

Please explain, or you’ll be the next one pushing up the petunias in that Canberra garden bed.

Gee Samuel gets some silly people coming here. I think they should be stoned.

I had a login problem right when I was posting this the first time…so I hope I’m not going to be repeating myself…

My use of the word “cunninglinguist” was a POLITE way of saying the dog gave the cat cunniLINGUS.

Two, use of the word cunninglinguist as such a euphamism already has a precedent in an episode of Smallville.

Cats dig up petunias, and talk of Canberra Garden beds can only get one response from me…pick a number and join the queue.

“Pushing up petunias in Canberra Garden beds”…

Not exactly the sort of comment that puts fear into the hearts of men.

Yoohoo d_c, I had tongue in cheek when posting that last one. I full well know what it means 🙂 The pushing up petunias thing is just a running joke on an earlier Samuel post. So was the dog giving cunninlingus to the cat a ‘cunning stunt’? 🙂

I believe cats and dogs are psychic and know things long before we ever do.
They can also look straight through people and know when people are good, bad or troubled.

Yes i think Cats and dogs are so intelligent and insightful.
