First day in new job

December 6th, 2005 at 09:05pm

Probably the best description for today is “busy”. I would prefer to keep work off this site as much as possible, but this is somewhat exciting for me.

About the only time today that I wasn’t busy was when I had lunch, this was a mushroom and something (yes, I forgot) quich, which was very nice, and a cup of coffee, from Coffee @ Helen’s, a nice little cafe near the Civic bus interchnage. During my lunch break I met my bus driver friend who was passing through the Civic Interchange, we had a quick chat before he had to go. I then went to City West IGA and bought some biscuits, which are currently unopened as one of the staff at my new workplace had a birthday and we all had cake at 4:30, there is still some left, so I can guess that it could be served out a few more times just for the fun of it.

Tomorrow I will make sure I take my thermos with me filled with coffee, and my radio. I probably won’t have any time for the radio at work, but it will be useful when travelling to and from work, as well as at lunch time.

Oh, in case you missed it previously, my employer is *Removed at request of employer*. I will be attempting to keep everything work related off of this site, but some of the fun and sociable work events, as well as some of my own “events” which don’t contain work may appear. That whole sentence is probably very confusing, but just keep in mind that I have a confidentiality agreement to adhere to and it will probably make sense.
