Whinging Whiteboard Owners

I had another strange dream last night, and whilst I only remember bits of it, I think I can remember enough of it to do it justice.

This takes place in a multi-storey carpark, where a bunch of people have decided to park their portable whiteboards (similar to the one shown here [1]). The whiteboard owners are somewhat of an annoyance however as they unsuccessfully try to convince the carpark staff that the whiteboards take up less space and should therefore get a discount on parking fees.

Later on, the whiteboard owners start to make their way out of the carpark with their whiteboards, in doing this they have to go down a ramp, which the complain is too steep (despite it being just as steep as the one they came in on). Eventually the whiteboard owners were out of the carpark and walking down the street with their whiteboards.

Hi there, Samuel. I’m no dream expert, but I reckon your dream probably represents a desire on your part to make it into the ‘carpark’ (whatever this means to you – perhaps be the broadcasting industry), and need to find out how to do this (the whiteboard being a blank surface upon which ideas are displayed). Obviously others have made it there before, and they are fairly settled (‘parked’), and established (being able to argue with the carpark staff). The fact that they complain about the steepness of the ramp probably says something about how you perceive their adjustment to their surroundings. Are radio folk whingers? Do they not realise how well off they are? Did you see tension between the on air talent and station management in your work experience week? Righto, you want to get into the carpark but you need to fill in your whiteboard. To obtain this knowledge I suggest you question and question and question anyone you can. Grab John Kerr while you’re on the boat and find out what you need to know. Quality, not quantity, of information required here: a whiteboard can only hold so much information, but it is key information. And good luck.

That is certainly an interesting interpretation, very interesting indeed. Thankyou for the advice, hopefully you weren’t hoping for a reply to the questions as a non-disclosure agreement prevents me from answering them to some extent.

Hi, Samuel, no need for responses to my questions! Go fill your whiteboard!
