New visitor records on Samuel’s Blog

I just had a look at the statistics for this site and noticed that it has broken its records. It has already surpassed 1000 visitors for the month (quite an achievement when you consider the previous record for an ENTIRE month was 818 visitors) and the page views so far this month is on 4578, which is far in excess of the previous record of 2807.

Thankyou to all of you for reading and a special thankyou to all of you who have contributed.

Samuel

Time for a reality check. The dramatic increase in visitors to this site has been brought on by at least two different totally public and very humiliating targeted pisstake directed at you and this website.

An example of this piss take is [1]

Every visitor to this so-called blog since that post went up at The Spin Starts Here has visited the site for one purpose – to join in the pisstake of this website and its author.

If I were you Samuel, I wouldn’t be taking the increase in visitors to this site as a positive thing given the fact that 99.9% of the latest visitors spend most of their time laughing their arses off.

The fact that you are trying to put a positive spin on this simply adds to the humour of it all.

That is today’s reality check.

Regardless of what the readers intentions are, they are still reading.

Sammy, I think you need to seriously reconsider your position on this. Personally, I’d describe it as untenable.

People are looking at your site because they think you’re a fruitcake. Period.

Now, for mine, there are a couple of ‘normal’ reactions to that. The first one is to say ‘well, each to their own; you’re entitled to your views/attitudes’. The second one is to say ‘I think you’re all a bunch of stupid c**ts, youse can all get f***ed’. But Samuel my little friend, it is a non-sequitur to say ‘well these people are reading my site; ergo it must be a good thing for me and the site itself’.

Be careful, chum, or you’ll turn into one of those 32-year old trainspotting virgins that Kingotis talks about. Unless you’ve already popped your cherry, in which case we’d all love to hear about it. In graphic detail. Please. Damn, I’m already moist just thinking about it.

I can’t agree with you. If you look you will find that amongst those who think I’m a “fruitcake” there are a few who think I am sane and sensible.

The statistics don’t differentiate between those who do and don’t like me, so the record number of visitors is just that, a record.

Perhaps those @ TSSH don’t get how a young guy like you can be so different from the mainstream and appear to be okay with it; it is a brave, but lonely path to walk down when you don’t conform.

Though being unique and different can make life too hard at times in the society we live in. I hope Samuel, that you still get to associate with your peers of your own age group, open your ears and heart to ‘modern’ music – amongst all the crud there is still good music to be appreciated – I think you could surprise yourself with how much fun you could have beyond the interests you already have. No need to be a Mr Bean.

Pop your cherry when you’re ready, and remember… Bill Gates, Donald Trump and Dick Smith might be ridiculed, but they’ve got loads of dosh and influence.

I think you are right cunninglinguist, I was under the impression that most schools had at least one person who was “the odd one out”. It’s funny really, they are rarely the only one, but in my experience the mainstream kids usually find one for ridicule and ignore the rest. Most kids who are the odd one out actually have their own social group, not that the people outside it tend to notice.

There are a few bits of modern music that I do like…not many, but some.

Mr. Bean, whilst being incredibly outcast, does seem mostly happy, although I don’t aspire to his life.

Rightio. Two things to say now.

1. Although we seem to come from different solar systems in our views on many, many things, I do note that at least insofar as I have been submitting posts, you’ve published them and not just binned them. No need for the First Amendment on your blog eh. Respect.

2. However. When it comes to this topic, you’re having your Fairy Cakes and eating them too. Firstly you tout your visitor numbers like they’re some holy grail of popularity, yet you then defend your attitude by saying “the record number of visitors is just that, a record”. Believe me when I say that I’m a little ‘different’, just like you- for example, I like to ram my clenched fist into the tiniest of our societal members (provided of course that they’re of age)- but that doesn’t make being ridiculed fun. You can hide behind your keyboard and pretend you like it, but the celebration of being despised is a party trick of social retards who just wish that one day, THEY could be the popular kid. And dude, until you lose the skivvy and the love of Stalinist a.m. radio, that ain’t gonna happen.

Well, there is a moderation system which picks up some posts which it thinks may be spam or otherwise useless, and I have binned a couple of completely off topic remarks, but usually moderation does nothing more than create a delay in the comment appearing until I am at the computer again.

Do you know how long I have been the social misfit for? As long as I can remember would the correct answer. It is something you get used to, and in my experience those around you get used to you being different and stop harrassing you about it eventually.

I’m used to it, and happy about it…your choice whether or not you believe me.

Fisty, sure Samuel may not be your regular 18 year old guy, but sheesh, he could be a lot worse. Would you prefer that he sells drugs, beats up old ladies, damages property, tortures animals, participates in gang attacks on young girls?

Get over it.

You know CL, something makes me think you might be treading that “brave but lonely path” also…

And you know what, fd, you are incorrect. Why don’t you try being a little bit kinder, eh? Perhaps you could start by just rimming dwarves….
